Accounting Technician Course:

Certified Accounting Technician course is offered by ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) where Student has to undergo a Study Course of 9 Months (after Passing CPT Exam), 35 hours of Orientation Programme and 100 Hours of Information Technology Training (ITT). After completing the above said period, Program and Training he has to register for ATC Exam which is First group in IPCC, after passing ATC i.e., First Group of IPCC he has to Go through 12 months of Practical Training under a Practicing Chartered Accountant. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India then will issue the Accounting Technician Certificate.

There is another option, if the Student wishes to continue further, he can write the IPCC Second Group which means that he is just one step away from becoming CA. So Candidates who intended to write just ATC then subsequently wishes to become CA after ATC, can write the Second Group of IPCC, complete 3 Years of Practical Training under a Practicing Chartered Accountant and appear for CA Final Exam.
