Highlights of New CPT Exam Format Proposed are:

  1. The Student has to get in one sitting a Minimum of 30% (out of maximum marks specified in each section) and a Minimum of 50% in the aggregate of all sections.
  2. Negative Marking Stands as it is.
  3. Which means that Student has to get:
  • Minimum of 18 Marks out of 60 Marks in Fundamentals of Accounting
  • Minimum of 12 Marks out of 40 Marks in Mercanitle Law
  • Minimum of 15 Marks out of 50 Marks in Genral Economics
  • Minimum of 15 Marks out of 50 Marks in Quantitative Aptitude
  • And Minimum of 100 Marks out of 200 Marks overall

Note: The above said marks are subjected to Negative Marking of 1/4th

The Student has to get above mentioned minimum marks to Pass the CPT Exam

The above Proposed Format is still to be ammended in the CA Regulations, so the change in the Format is still not in force as on date.
